About the role

You will serve as a Civil Engineer (Lead Commodity Engineer) in the Utilities and Energy Management of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. This position has a selective placement factor which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. You must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Overseeing/managing water and waste water operations; 2) Applying knowledge of national water and waste water codes as they relate to water and waste water production, transmission and distribution systems; 3) Establishing design guidelines for water and waste water production, transmission and distribution systems and equipment; 4) Applying knowledge of civil engineering principles to assess performance standards and trends for water and waste water commodities; and 5) Assisting in the development of relevant budgets and operating plans.
