IT Consultant - Site Applications

Responsibilities

• Collect business requirements using a variety of methods e.g. requirements engineering, document analysis, workshops, or workflow analysis.
• Transform business requirements into technical specifications to design IT architecture & infrastructure.
• Manage IT projects in/with international teams.
• Takeover IT product implementation & operation as well as overall product management tasks in a global environment.
• Installation and configuration of software or applications in the different areas of Site Management e.g. energy management solution, door & access control systems, facility management, or emergency control systems.
• Build up knowledge of Evonik's' global IT product portfolio of site applications to consult and improve needs of internal stakeholders.
• Understand complex IT processes and usage of ITSM processes & tools for documentation and fulfilment of operational tasks.

Requirements

• University degree (bachelor or master) in the field of IT or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience working in area of IT or related area.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken).
• Basic understanding of the areas of IT security, network technology, MS Azure, server, and database as well as the design of IT architecture.
• Experience in IT product and project management.
• Great pleasure in interacting and negotiating with global stakeholders, suppliers, consultants and contractors to develop, implement and operate new solutions supporting site management and production related processes.
• Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end-results within limited timeframes.
• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
