FTE: 1.0 (working 37.5 hours per week) (Part time may be considered) Duration of Contract: 12 months fixed term Salary: HSV 3 - 5 £25,608 pa (pro rata) to £30,538 pa (pro rata) plus performance related pay Annual Leave: 23 days (pro rata) plus standard public holidays rising to 26 days (pro rata) after 4 years continuous service Location: de Havilland campus, Hatfield, Hertfordshire Main duties and responsibilities We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of our bookings and events team to help deliver a quality service to our advanced booking clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administration tasks associated with block bookings, events and conference bookings and group climbing. The main purpose of the role will be to liaise with customers, partners and internal departments to ensure all booking enquiries are dealt with professionally and efficiently, are run smoothly and that a first-class customer experience is provided at all times. The Bookings Administrator will demonstrate a Service Excellence mindset by providing a consistent, efficient, high quality and customer-oriented service to all customers of the Sports Village through implementation of agreed operating procedures and standards, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of every decision. You will also be responsible for credit control and timely invoicing of clients ensuring all relevant details are inputted into our bookings CRM system. Skills and experience required We are looking for a self-motivated individual with good IT skills and excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. You will have a good understanding of and interest in sports and the industry and typical requirements for customers booking sports facilities/events and excellent customer service skills. You must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks and work under pressure and be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. You will have experience of working in a customer service environment and administration and telephone handling experience. Proven ability in administration and office procedures and good knowledge and experience of administration processes is essential. Qualifications required You will be educated with a minimum of GCSE's at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English, or equivalent proven experience. A-level/BTEC National Diploma or equivalent - preferably in a related area is desirable. Please view the job description and person specification for a full list of the duties and essential criteria.
