About the role

As our Product Stewardship / Compliance Intern, you will provide critical support for customer requests and projects related to Regulatory and Compliance, working under the guidance of our experienced European Product Compliance team. You will directly contribute to enhancing IMDS data integrity, analyzing chemical regulations, and supporting key compliance initiatives for our Label and Packaging Materials (LPM) division-including premium categories like Food Contact and Pharma. This internship is scheduled to start on 17th of August for a duration of 6 months . The role requires a minimum commitment of 3 days per week on-site at our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest , with the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week .

Responsibilities

  • This is a hybrid position based out of our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest . The key responsibilities include:
  • Provide daily compliance support, efficiently addressing a high volume of customer questions and inquiries.
  • Analyze, interpret and research chemical and material regulations (such as EU/UK regulations) to ensure overall product compliance.
  • Contribute to enhancing the data integrity of the International Material Data System (IMDS) for automotive applications by identifying and implementing opportunities for workflow optimization.
  • Partner with the Product Compliance team to explore and propose innovative process improvements, including researching how artificial intelligence (AI) tools can optimize department workflows.
  • Required:
  • Currently following a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Law, or a related scientific/technical field of study.
  • Fluent in writing and speaking in English.
  • Skills you need to succeed:
  • Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and proficiency in working with spreadsheets and large datasets.
  • Curious, proactive, and friendly personality with adaptability and a strong willingness to learn, receive feedback, and collaborate effectively.
  • Knowledge or strong interest in materials science, EU/UK environmental regulations, IMDS (automotive compliance), or an affinity for leveraging AI tools.
