Unfortunately we do not offer sponsorship for this role 21 hours per week, Wednesday - Friday, Thursday - Saturday, Friday - Sunday, rotational shift pattern, covering 06:00 until 14:00 and 10:00 until 18:00. Purpose of the post Support the water microbiology department Preparation of media (agars etc.) to be used in microbiological analysis Sample preparation in line with company protocols Microbiological analysis of water samples in line with company protocols Training and operation of relevant equipment General housekeeping of laboratory and prevention of cross contamination Accurate Data entry into laboratory database Accurate record-keeping associated with UKAS quality system Effective communication with all employees Report any anomalous results or situations to Laboratory Supervisor Health and Safety procedures are adhered to within the laboratory A level in a science related subject (preferably Biology) GCSE English and Mathematics and Science or equivalent
