Responsibilities

  • Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling, utilizing Registered Dietitian order writing privileges as needed to change/modify diet orders.
  • Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient or client.
  • Develop curriculum and prepare manuals, visual aids, course outlines, and other materials used in teaching.
  • Participate in training and orientation of new staff; provides ongoing education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) from an accredited dietetics program (required)
  • Dietitian Iowa Dept of Public Health (IDPH) (United States of America) (required)
  • Dietitian Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDM) (United States of America) (required)
  • Dietetic Internship or C oordinated Undergraduate Program (required)
  • 1-3 years of related experience (preferred)
  • MS Office (preferred)
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

Minimum Hiring Wage: From $32.53 per hour Job Details: Day shift Job Description: *** $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment*** A Brief Overview The Clinical Dietitian will assess patients for nutritional risk working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy compatible with patient goals and objectives. Plans therapeutic diets as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with regulatory agencies. Participates and counsels in inpatient and outpatient settings and community health programs as well as educates staff, review and update menus and nutrition education materials, and maintain quality assurance standards. The dietitian will conduct nutrition education programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease.
