Job Title: Permanent Paediatric Special School Speech and Language Therapist Banding: 5-7 (newly qualified and experienced candidates welcome) Location: Southampton Start Date: ASAP (Maternity cover role available starting September 2026) Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a specialist paediatric setting in Southampton. This role is based at a mixed 7-19 SEN day school, supporting children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs. The school primarily supports able learners and provides a nurturing environment with small class sizes and an established multidisciplinary team, including two SALTs and Occupational Therapists. This opportunity is open to newly qualified candidates as well as more experienced therapists. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils' communication, social, emotional, and mental health development, helping them achieve their full potential.
