Requirements

  • The position is responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment
  • Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the Flexographic press operated such as mounting plates or installing print cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping web paths, adjusting tension and register etc.
  • Make necessary color correction and anilox adjustment and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required
  • Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of Flexographic printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments
  • Skill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully
  • Skill to make a variety of difficult precise web paths, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment
  • Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, excel, Word and Google, preferred
  • Skill in use of Mark Andy, Aquaflex, Comco, Webtron, Gallus, Nil Peter preferred.

This position runs on a Pitman Schedule: Shift: 12-hour rotating day shift Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm Perks of the Pitman Schedule: Ample Time Off: Employees work approximately 14-15 days/month, providing significant time for rest and recovery. Improved Work-Life Balance: Employees get 3 consecutive days off every other weekend. Extended Vacation Potential: By using only 2 vacation days on a 2-day work week, employees can secure a 7-day break. Built-in OT: 8 hours of OT built into the schedule every other week. Predictable Schedule: As a fixed, repeating 2-week cycle, this schedule is highly predictable and makes it easier for employees to plan their personal lives. Candidates with direct experience will be eligible for a higher pay rate.
