Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Must have three years of recreation/leisure service management which demonstrates knowledge of the goals, philosophy, principles, techniques and procedures used in organizing, planning, administering and conducting leisure time activities. Must have general knowledge of the Marine Corps mission and MCCS programs. Must have the ability to assist in coordinating volunteer opportunities with command, community, and civic leaders. Must have the ability to supervise large groups of people and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field highly desirable. SMP Marines are located throughout Hampton Roads and local travel is required including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the programs operational tempo. Must possess a valid driver's license. Incumbent is required to obtain a CPR and first aid certification within the first three months of employment, and food handling certification.
