About the role

You are responsible for managing SPCA's adoption and fostering programs, ensuring animals are placed in suitable, loving homes. The role serves as the primary point of coordination between adopters and foster caregivers, and internal stakeholders including the shelter and veterinary clinic teams. Job Responsibilities: - Manage adoption processes, including screening potential adopters, conducting meet-and-greets, and providing post-adoption support. - Oversee the fostering program, including recruitment, training, and ongoing support for foster caregivers. - Conduct home assessments and interviews to ensure suitability for adoption or fostering. - Provide guidance on animal care, behaviour, and enrichment to adopters and foster caregivers. - Maintain accurate records of adoptions, fosters, and animal profiles in the SPCA database. - Collaborate with veterinary, volunteer, and shelter teams to ensure smooth operations and optimal animal welfare. - Assist in community outreach, public education, and adoption events to promote adoption and fostering initiatives. - Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned. - Provide support for ad-hoc events and SPCA-led initiatives as required Job Requirements: - Diploma or degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Animal Management, or related fields preferred. - At least 1 year of experience in animal care, shelter operations, or animal welfare programs. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. - Ability to assess animal behaviour and suitability for adoption/fostering. - Knowledge of basic veterinary care, animal welfare standards, and behaviour management. - Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and attend adoption events as required. - Working hours will be based on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team - Passion for animal welfare * Please note that for all positions, you must be prepared to travel to 50 Sungei Tengah Road.
