About the role

The Industry Relations Manager is a key member of the Industry Relations & Careers team and will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with local and international employers to source career opportunities and establish strategic partnerships. This role is crucial in connecting employers with top talent from NUS Business School (especially targeting post graduate students) while strengthening industry partnerships that enhance student employability and career outcomes. Job Description 1. Employer Relations Take charge of all employer relations and partnership activities in designated strategic industry sectors and geographical markets. Conduct market research and develop and implement strategies to enhance employer engagement and expand the network of employer partners. Conduct regular meetings and develop new & existing relationships with local and international employers across various industries to understand their hiring needs for internships and full-time roles as well as their recruitment strategy. Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of employer engagement activities and adjust strategies as needed. 2. Employer Branding & Partnerships Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key industry players, recruitment agencies, and professional associations to further the strategic direction of the team. Organize and participate in joint networking events, company presentations, employer engagement sessions, career fairs, and recruitment activities to promote partnership opportunities. 3. Career Opportunities Development Collaborate with employers to source and promote job openings, internships, management development programmes and other career opportunities especially at post Graduate levels MSc and MBA and Alumni Work with Career Advisors to match relevant student groups with suitable opportunities based on their skills, experience, and career goals. Ensure the timely and efficient communication of internship & job openings, events and application processes to candidates. 4. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with the Industry Relations & Careers team and the broader BIZCareers (Experienced and Early Careers) team to align employer engagement efforts with the overall BIZCareers Strategy. Work closely with the respective programme offices on experiential learning placements and be the subject matter expert on industry trends and emerging job markets relevant to the students. Provide regular updates and reports on employer engagement activities, partnership outcomes, and job placement statistics where possible. Facilitate open communication and collaboration between employers, candidates, and internal stakeholders. Ability to use tools and AI technology to improve connectivity between industry and students 5. Student & Alumni Engagement Collaborate with the Career Advisors and/or Programme Managers to understand the career aspirations of each student cohort and ensure that the roles and activities managed by the Industry Relations & Careers team remain relevant and aligned with students' needs. Plan, organise and participate in monthly Global Connect sessions with postgraduate Business School students to raise awareness on Global Careers engagement activities with global employers and address any queries from students Gather feedback from internal stakeholders, students and alumni to improve engagement activities and ensure the best modes of communication with the students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business (MBA preferred), Human Resources, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in industry responsible for people or employer relations, recruitment, career services, industry partnerships, corporate relations, or business developmen
