Software Developer

About the role

In this role, you will work across the full software development lifecycle, creating digital solutions that support the IKEA range and help make products available to customers and co-workers around the world. You will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, contribute to modern engineering practices, and help build reliable, accessible, and scalable solutions.

Requirements

• We believe great software engineering comes from a mix of technical skill, curiosity, and collaboration. You do not need to match every requirement, but the following experience will help you succeed in this role:
• -Experience across the full stack, from building intuitive front-end interfaces to developing robust back-end services.
• -Proficiency in modern technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, and .NET.
• -Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure, and an understanding of cloud-native development.
• -Hands-on experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• -A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, such as Docker, and software development best practices.
• -A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across disciplines in a diverse team environment.
• -Previous experience at IKEA is a plus, but not required. We value fresh perspectives just as much as familiarity.
