CAD Supervisor (Deputy CAD Manager)

Responsibilities

• 1- Coordinate & plan the CAD work to be produced and released on time: define due dates, chase missing information, follow-up schedule & inform Project Engineering team & Operations accordingly.
• 3- Design with cost reduction and localization in mind (minimize scrap, utilize locally available resources).
• 4- Update drafting procedures per local / world-wide engineering standards and product specifications (ISO, EN, etc.), maintain drawing formatting in TeamCenter Database.
• 5- Assist in new product developments & redesigns. Contribute to product performance through improvement proposals & programs.
• 6- In close cooperation with the Systems Application Engineer (SAE), ensure that CAD Designers are all operating according to the same set rules = same design rules through the use of same tools.
• 7- Follow-up GTS CAD methods & tools and propose updates where required (procedures, standards, manuals) in coordination with GTS SAE.
• 8- Conduct RCA for any design / drawing errors and provide preventive actions.
• 9- Any other task assigned.
• 10- Comply with all processes and procedures
• a. HR, Quality, HSE, Finance, IT, Procurement, Operations which include compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the local labor law.
• b. Employee shall comply with requirements listed in Company's QHSE Management System
• EDUCATION: Bachelor or master's degree in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience.
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum 6 years 3D industrial CAD experience, with 2 years of experience in managing & coaching a team. Good experience in industrial products and production processes.
• KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
• Good experience in industrial products and production processes.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD Software: Siemens NX & Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, welding and machining techniques.
• Able to understand commercial issues in the design role is an asset.
• Fluent in English.
• Driving license valid in UAE.
