Responsibilities
- Complete timely nutrition assessments for all new residents and contribute to RAI-MDS assessments where applicable.
- Develop and update individualized care plans, including diet orders, texture modifications, and therapeutic diets.
- Assess swallowing abilities within scope and collaborate with nurses and physicians as needed.
- Provide education to residents, families, and staff on nutrition and dietary best practices.
- Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support quality resident care.
- Consult with residents and families to address nutrition-related concerns and ensure resident-centered dietary planning.
- What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from a recognized university program.
- Eligibility for registration, or current registration, with the provincial regulatory body (e.g., College of Dietitians of BC).
- Fluent in English, both orally and in writing
- Previous clinical nutrition experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Experience working with older adults or in gerontology is considered an asset.
