Responsibilities

  • You'll serve as a trusted clinical resource while also supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include:
  • Review, evaluate, and dispense medication orders, including:
  • Unit dose medications
  • IV preparations and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
  • Chemotherapy and investigational agents
  • Collaborate with prescribers and nursing staff to support safe and effective medication therapy
  • Monitor patient drug therapies and recommend adjustments or cost-effective alternatives when appropriate
  • Counsel patients on the proper use of prescribed medications
  • Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians in daily workflow and technical tasks
  • Help ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • We're looking for a pharmacist who combines strong clinical knowledge with a collaborative, patient-centered approach.
  • Successful candidates will have:
  • A PharmD (or equivalent) and current pharmacist licensure (or eligibility)
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
  • Confidence working with complex therapies, including IV medications and oncology treatments
  • Strong attention to detail and sound clinical judgment
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Starting salary: $144,241 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.
  • Required Education and Experience
  • License Requirement
  • License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York
  • Education and Experience
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or
  • Master's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.
  • NOTES:
  • Incumbents must be credentialed as a member of the organization Medical Staff (Allied Health Professional) within four months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
  • Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
