- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Obtains artifact-free electrocardiography.
- Performs adequate holter monitors.
- Performs EKGs in codes or cardioversion.
- Prepares the patient's room and equipment for the electrocardiography.
- Prepares the patient according to the test being performed and confirm the status of skin allergies with patients.
- Documents and processes procedures on a daily basis in the database.
- Processes billing charges or credits on a daily basis.
- Performs photocopying, filing, charting of reports in patient's medical record as needed.
- Completes the care and operation of EKG equipment according to technical specifications and application of equipment.
- Maintains clean, well-stocked equipment with supplies and "in good working order" after each shift.
- Reports any unsafe or mal-functioning equipment to Bio-med and takes the necessary step in processing reported equipment.
- Provides teaching and educational material to the patient and or significant others concerning electrocardiography.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
