Employee may be detailed to any shift at any plant in the Raleigh District. You must meet the time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements prior to the closing date of the announcement. Time in grade: You must have completed one year at the GS-9 grade to meet the time-in-grade requirement for this position. Specialized experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-9 grade that demonstrates: Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of inspection activities of ingestible items, working with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles and practices. Skill in applying proper techniques for collecting samples and performing field tests and examinations as well as experience in reaching and interpreting conclusions from sampling and testing. Developing written reports and communicating findings verbally. Maintaining personal contacts with internal and external stakeholders. Past or present supervisory experience will enhance your qualifications for this position.
