About the role

The Aeronautical Information Service Cadet will assist in ensuring the flow of aeronautical information necessary for the safety, regularity, and efficiency of international air navigation, in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization standards. This position serves as preparation for training toward certification as an Aeronautical Information Service Officer. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be required to assist with: Collecting, classifying, recording, editing, and disseminating aeronautical information and Notices to Airmen in accordance with established procedures Collecting and transmitting messages relating to arrival, departure, cancelled, and delayed flights Disseminating flight plans to the relevant Air Traffic Service units Collecting landing, parking, navigation, late operation, and facilitation fees from aircraft operators Collecting, verifying, and completing relevant airline and flight documentation, including General Declaration forms and Movement Sheets Monitoring aeronautical computer systems, including SPATIA and CADAS, and reporting faults or system malfunctions Completing shift log books, reconciliation documents, float records, and other administrative records Performing other related duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) subject passes equivalent to G.C.E. Ordinary Level or CXC/CSEC, Grade 3 and above, including: English Language Mathematics Physics No prior work experience is required; however, relevant experience would be an asset.
