Responsibilities

  • Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Lead integration of infotainment cluster, driver + center displays along with infotainment, telemetry module in SDV architectures
  • Lead Integration & verification of Android, Linux, QNX, subsystem modules.
  • Lead the integration of multi-OS environments, including but not limited to Android Automotive OS, Linux, and QNX subsystem modules.
  • Bridge the gap between core software developers and vehicle hardware integration teams.
  • Develop robust test strategies to effectively validate subsystem modules on both test benches (HIL/SIL) and full physical vehicles.
  • Drive test automation by migrating manual test activities into Python-based advanced automated test frameworks.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure code commits are immediately verified against platform standards
  • Perform root cause analysis on complex, unusual issues involving software-hardware interactions and memory bottlenecks.
  • Debug communication issues across vehicle networks using CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet protocols.
  • Profile and optimize system performance, targeting strict cold-boot times, suspend-to-RAM (STR) current draw, and CPU/memory leak containment.
  • Architect HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test benches leveraging dSPACE or NI hardware for automated regression.
  • Advance Python and Robot Framework scripts into automated CI/CD pipelines for real-time build verification.
  • Develop strong understanding of various BSP level components and their functionality, hardware platforms.
  • Manage traceability of test coverage from requirements to validation
  • Ensure feature-level integration synchronization, power mode management, Wake-up/sleep strategy robustness.
  • Own system-level regression test planning, drive root cause analysis of cross-domain issues and help support integration war-room activities during DV/PV builds.

  • Location & Travel Expectations :
  • This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC .
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
