KidSTART Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Engage lower-income families with children aged 0-6 through regular home visits.
• Provides support to families to promote positive outcomes for child development and parent-child relationship, through quality engagement and utilisation of evidence-based strategies.
• Partners closely with families to ensure children have a strong and good start in life.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood, Psychology, or a related field
• Preferably has experience working with young children (0-6 years) and families
• Comfortable conducting home visits and engaging families in a community setting
• Able to build rapport and communicate effectively with parents from diverse backgrounds
• Empathetic, patient, and culturally sensitive
• Good organisational and documentation skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to travel within the west and southwest region
