Your mission in CMbE We have a new vacancy for a Mechanical Service Engineer to join our Service team, delivering high-quality support to customers across a range of sites. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of equipment, ensuring performance and reliability standards are consistently met. The main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for service activities on customer sites, working both independently and alongside colleagues when required. You will carry out technical fault finding, support commissioning activities, complete all associated documentation, and ensure customers are kept fully informed. You will also play a key role in identifying opportunities for machine upgrades and improvements. The successful candidate will be apprentice trained in an engineering discipline and hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). An HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering is desirable. You should have strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and be confident in reading engineering drawings and schematics. Experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial machinery is essential. The successful candidate will have experience in a mechanical fitting, maintenance, or field service engineering role, including working on customer sites, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned maintenance. A full UK driving licence is required, along with a willingness to travel and stay away from home when needed.
