USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The Education Department at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants to teach Elementary Methods II (EDUC-322) for the fall 2026 semester. Availability to teach in-person, during the day (Monday, Wednesday 8am-3pm; Friday 8am-12pm). This position also supports KSC students at local elementary schools during some of the Monday and Wednesday sessions. This is a part-time non-benefited position. Elementary Methods II (EDUC 322) - This course explores best practices for teaching math, science, and engineering, while integrating literacy. Students learn practical approaches to creating learning environments in which children develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions for mathematical and scientific thinking, and engineering design. Standards-based unit planning, with an emphasis on student learning and reflection on teaching, are the foci during the extended supervised field experience. Classroom management skills, including behavioral considerations, reflection, and techniques are explored and applied in the elementary classroom. The Education Department at Keene State College is in the ongoing process of enhancing the curriculum in our program to better prepare our future educators for today's diverse classrooms. The department utilizes assessments, feedback from the field, and our collective expertise to continually improve and evolve the education program. The Education Department includes both undergraduate and graduate programs in the preparation of teachers. Keene State College holds CAEP accreditation for all educator preparation programs. The Education Department strives to prepare education professionals who: Explore the dynamic nature of the teaching and learning process; Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviors that meet high standards; Understand the world from multiple perspectives; and Contribute to a just and equitable world. Duties/Responsibilities (50%) Design and deliver course content for credit courses (45%) Prepare lesson plans and course materials. Assess student learning. Assign grades, refer students to support services. Provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students. (5%) Abide with USNH and KSC policies, participate in appropriate department/unit meetings.
