At ING we are looking for a Investment Mutual Funds Business Lead We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Investment Mutual Funds Business Lead to join our Funds Team of Investment Tribe The Investment Mutual Funds Business Lead is responsible for driving the business strategy, performance, and evolution of ING's investment mutual funds proposition. The role ensures the delivery of a competitive, compliant, and customer-centric offering, maximizing business value and customer outcomes across all investment journeys. Acting as the key business counterpart, this role connects strategy, product development, distribution, and regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment with ING's overall growth ambition in investments. Your key responsibilities: 1. Business ownership & strategy Define and drive the business distribution strategy for Investment Mutual Funds, aligned with ING Spain priorities. Own the performance of the funds portfolio (commercial results, volumes, customer penetration, profitability). Identify growth opportunities (new funds, partnerships, customer segments, pricing strategies). Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to continuously adapt the value proposition. Define and track KPIs (sales, assets under management, customer satisfaction, digital adoption). Use data and insights to identify improvement opportunities and drive initiatives to increase customer engagement and satisfaction. Continuously refine processes and operating model to increase efficiency and scalability. 2. Product & proposition management Lead the evolution of the funds offering (in-house and third-party funds) ensuring competitiveness and simplicity. Are accountable for our product suite evolution and performance, maintaining close relationship with (current and potentially new) asset managers in order to provide our customers with the best possible Mutual Funds. Define priorities and contribute to the product roadmap together with squads and Product Owners. 3. Commercial & distribution Partner with Marketing, Assisted Channels (including branches and call center), and Commercial teams to define go-to-market strategies and campaigns. Content Marketing strategy: Support the development of clear customer narratives and positioning for investment products to clients, advisors and branch agents. Digital distribution: Optimize customer funnels and conversion across digital channels. Ensure a seamless end-to-end customer journey (from onboarding to servicing and reporting). Advice: leading a team of 100 advisors providing remote advice. This includes co-managing the external providers. 4. Stakeholder management Act as the main business point of contact for senior stakeholders (Tribes, Risk, Compliance, Finance, COO). Align cross-functional teams towards shared objectives and delivery priorities. Prepare and present materials for governance forums (ExCo, SteerCo). 5. Risk, compliance & governance Ensure full compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II) and internal policies. Act as first line of defense for both financial and non-financial risks. Balance business growth with risk management and customer protection. Key skills & experience Strong knowledge of investment products, especially mutual funds. Solid understanding of financial markets, customer behaviour, and distribution models. Experience in business ownership, product management, or strategic roles. Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and work in cross-functional environments. Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities. High level of ownership, autonomy, and decision-making. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II) is a plus. Experience in managing high-performing, senior and wide teams.
