Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on construction sites.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Supervise the installation of lighting systems, power distribution systems, and low/high-voltage networks.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to approved schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, and project managers to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Review and verify material specifications prior to procurement and installation.
• Manage material deliveries, storage, and inventory to prevent shortages and wastage.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project requirements.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, site records, and project documentation.
• Track material procurement status and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain and update as-built drawings and records of design changes.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support to project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and company procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant site experience, preferably with M&E contractors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant engineering software.
• Good understanding of local codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to manage site challenges effectively.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities.
