POSITION SUMMARY Located at our Byron Center, MI location, this person would be responsible for installing hinges in jambs and using a router to bore door jambs. Secondary responsibilities include learning the CNC machine and a table saw for customized product. These associates are responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completion of these daily operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Ensuring the proper quality, accuracy and timeliness of the prepping of all jambs for specials, line, and finish Properly staging all jambs for production Maintaining the organization, maintenance and cleanliness of the door area, assigned by the Prep Supervisor Ensuring that all production areas are properly supplied for the day's work Performing other tasks as assigned by the Prep Supervisor At Lumbermen's, our business is built on relationships. This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School diploma/GED required Prior woodworking would be considered a plus; router, miter saws, table saws Prior cabinet manufacturing or trim carpentry work would be considered a plus Knowledge of exterior doors would be considered a plus, but not required CNC knowledge would be considered a plus REQUIRED SKILLS Strong communication skills Ability to work independently Safe working practices Natural detail-orientation Ability to accurately read orders and stage material to internal customer needs Desire to "do things right the first time" PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift up to 75 lb Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day
