Stress Engineer

Requirements

• ⚙️Experienced with using and understanding the requirements of any of the following codes: ASME VIII, EN13445, Eurocode 3 and BS EN 1090; EN13001
• 🧠General knowledge of FEA is preferable. (Abaqus, Ansys, or LS-Dyna )
• 🗓️ Able to plan and manage own workload
• 🔩An understanding of steelwork components e.g. materials, profiles, strength, joint designs etc. and how they should be used to maintain compliance to the design codes above
• 📄Be able to complete scheme calculation assessments through to final stress analysis reporting
• 📏Good working knowledge of tolerances
• ✅ Experienced with the application of CE (and/or UKCA) marking equipment to ensure that proposed designs are fully compliant
• 🤝 Team player & clear communicator

📍 Derby - Hybrid / 3 - 4 days per week on site in Derby 📝Contract or staff roles available Your future team : You'll work as part of an embedded team on-site with our client in Derby, where you'll be responsible for producing design and manufacturing documentation for both mechanical equipment and structural supports.
