Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering teams to deliver engineering and design packages for process, chemical, and petrochemical industries - Green field, Sustainable solutions, debottlenecking, facility augmentation, troubleshooting, etc.,
  • Oversee various phases of engineering, primarily the early phases, including conceptual design, feasibility studies, and scope development.

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices in process and chemical engineering.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and deliver solutions that are cost effective, realistic, safe for the business, environment, and society.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, construction, and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Prepare and present engineering reports, project updates, and technical documentation to senior management and clients.
  • Technical requirement and scope management
  • Scope alignment, link the agreed scope with budget. Raise additional work if the scope was not accounted in the budget.
  • Continuously improve methods, adapt AI, applying lessons learned to optimize client value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in the process, chemical, and petrochemical industries.
  • Proven experience in the early phases of engineering, including conceptual design and feasibility studies.
  • Experience in debottlenecking, facility augmentation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong background in managing multi-discipline engineering projects in a global environment.
  • Experience working on projects in Europe, the USA, and other regions.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, ability to understand and address client needs, technology focus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Possesses strong critical thinking, active listening skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the process and chemical industries.
  • Broader knowledge of technical disciplines involved in process engineering.
  • Adapt to latest innovations and artificial intelligence applicable to process engineering.
  • Experience in innovative solution development within the chemical and petrochemical sectors.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
