Description of Work The-Clinical Social Worker is responsible for facilitating therapeutic group sessions within the Hope and Wellness Center treatment mall program. The Clinical Social Worker develops and implements group-based interventions utilizing evidenced-based modalities and techniques. This position must exercise clinical judgement to continually assess the needs of group participants, monitor group dynamics and adapt interventions as needed to target various treatment goals. This position monitors and documents on participants responses, performance, and progress towards goals outlined in the comprehensive treatment plan. This position may also serve on a variety of Hope and Wellness Center and/or hospital wide committees and workgroups. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $52,592 - $92,036 Recruitment Range: $52,000 - $78,000 *A Sign-on bonus of $5,000.00 may be offered to the successful applicants(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval. Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to inpatient psychiatric treatment. Ability to apply DSM-5 criteria and knowledge of psychopathology to assess and develop evidence based, clinically therapeutic interventions in a group therapy setting. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with adult patients exhibiting a wide range of cognitive capacities. Ability to establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with diverse patient populations and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members. This Position Is Designated as Mandatory and Must Report or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events. We Will Be Recruiting for Multiple Positions with This Post. Your Application Will Be Considered for All Noted Open Positions. *Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate. An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if: The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system, within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date) The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
