Associate, Office of the CFO // Accounting Advisory & Controllership Transformation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CPA or CA) preferred
• Experience working with private equity clients or on U.S. / global transactions is preferred
• Willing to relocate to or be primarily present in Gurgaon
• Four plus years of experience in financial consulting, advisory services or audit, preferably with exposure to transaction-driven or capital markets environments
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting requirements, including practical experience with complex areas such as revenue, business combinations or financial instruments
• Experience in financial modeling and financial statements analysis as well as accounting treatments
• Experience with financial technologies and tools such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Blackline and FloQast
• Experience leveraging technology and automation solutions (Power BI / Tableau, Power Automate, UI Path, Automation Anywhere) and interest in leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to transform finance functions
• Exposure to ASC 606, ASC 805 and ASC 842
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
• Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
• High attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindset
• Track record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environments

Accounting Advisory & Controllership Transformation (AACT) team members provide operational accounting, technical accounting, transaction and data analytics advisory across the entire business and investment lifecycle. Leveraging backgrounds in accounting, finance, audit, operations and consulting, AACT team members provide holistic perspectives and capabilities to deliver unparalleled results within the Office of the CFO Practice (OCFO). Portage Point Partners is seeking AACT Associates to deliver operational, technical, and transaction accounting advisory across the full business and investment lifecycle. As key contributors within the OCFO and Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practices, Associates leverage backgrounds in accounting, finance, audit, operations and consulting to provide holistic, data-driven insights that help clients modernize financial operations, implement scalable processes and navigate complex transactions. This role offers a broad, high-impact opportunity to support both buyers and sellers through the transaction process and beyond, while enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making across client organizations. This individual will execute discrete workstreams, support critical initiatives, and collaborate closely with senior leaders in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
