As an Inspector of Works (Mechanical) at Aurecon, you will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical works on-site are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. You will support the Resident Engineer and project team in delivering high-quality outcomes. Job Responsibilities: Carry out day-to-day site inspections and supervision of mechanical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and relevant Malaysian codes and standards. Monitor the quality of mechanical works, workmanship, and materials, ensuring installations meet QA/QC requirements and project specifications. Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and technical documents, highlighting discrepancies and coordinating timely resolutions. Witness and document inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project and statutory requirements. Monitor the installation of mechanical building services, including HVAC systems, fire protection systems, plumbing and sanitary systems, chilled water, compressed air, vacuum systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, BMS/BAS, and other industrial utility systems where applicable. Identify and report non-conformance issues, issue site instructions or inspection reports where required, and follow up on corrective actions. Verify contractor work progress, assist in the evaluation of progress claims, variation works, and ensure completed works are in accordance with project requirements. Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, daily site diaries, progress updates, testing records, and as-built documentation. Coordinate closely with Resident Engineers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and relevant authorities to resolve technical and construction issues. Attend site coordination meetings, safety briefings, inspections, and technical discussions, providing regular updates on project progress, quality, and compliance. Ensure all mechanical works are carried out in accordance with safety regulations, permit requirements, and company HSE standards. Travel between project sites as required and possess a valid driving license.
