About the role
You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NAVAL ARCHITECT) in the Engineering and Planning Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. EXPERIENCE COORDINATING WITH OTHER ENGINEERS AND ENGINEER TECHNICIANS. EXPERIENCE APPLYING KNOWLEDGE OF TECHNIQUES, PRINCIPAL, AND PRACTICES OF NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY. GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: EXPERIENCE ASSITING IN PREPARING AND REVIEWING TECHNICAL REPORTS, ESTIMATES, STATUS REPORT, INSTRUCTIONS, AND PROCEDURES. EXPERIENCE SUPPORTING IN THE OF REVIEWING DESIGN DRAWINGS, MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS. EXPERIENCE AIDING IN INSTALLING AND TESTING OF EQUIPMENTS AND SYSTEM INVOLVED IN A SHIP'S DEPOT. EXPERIENCE ASSISTING WITH THE COORDINATION OF ENGINEERS AND ENGINEER TECHNICIANS. EXPERIENCE APPLYING KNOWLEDGE OF THE TECHNIQUES, PRINCIPAL, AND PRACTICES OF NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY.
