Quality Engineer is responsible for driving product and process quality within manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on reducing Cost of Poor Quality, preventing and resolving customer disruptions, and ensuring compliance with aerospace regulatory and customer requirements. This role partners cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and customer teams to improve process capability, contain escapes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Lead initiatives to reduce COPQ , including scrap, rework, repair, escapes, and warranty-related losses. Investigate internal and external quality issues using structured problem-solving methods and drive effective corrective actions. Develop and maintain containment plans to minimize customer disruptions and ensure timely response to quality events. Monitor production quality performance through key metrics such as defect rates, yield, escapes, MRB, rework, and customer complaints. Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements (for example AS9100, FAA requirements, NADCAP as applicable, and internal quality procedures). Support audits, regulatory inspections, and customer reviews; ensure timely closure of findings. Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve process controls, inspection methods, and error-proofing. Review nonconformances, support root cause analysis, and disposition issues in alignment with regulatory and customer requirements. Drive process validation, control plans, PFMEA updates, and quality risk assessments for production processes. Support supplier quality and incoming quality activities when production issues are linked to external sources. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and proactive risk identification across the shop floor. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering or quality discipline) + Minimum of 3 years of experience manufacturing, engineering or quality discipline. Established project management skills. The base pay range for this position $87,000 to $116,000 annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 14th, 2026.
