Myth vs Reality - the safety season edition MYTH: "It's just sitting by the pool all day." REALITY: You are responsible for guest safety at the pool and/or beach area of a hotel in Greece. Attention and presence are your main tasks. MYTH: "Nothing ever happens." REALITY: Most days are calm - and that's exactly the goal. But you must stay alert at all times and be ready to react immediately if needed. MYTH: "It's an easy holiday job." REALITY: It's a professional safety role. You hold a valid lifeguard certificate and understand rescue procedures and first aid. MYTH: "You'll just be alone on your chair." REALITY: You are part of a structured hotel team. You coordinate with management and other departments when necessary. MYTH: "There's no social life." REALITY: After your shift, you are in Greece. Warm evenings, beach sunsets, international colleagues. It's work - but it's also a lifestyle experience. MYTH: "It's only about reacting to emergencies." REALITY: Most of your job is prevention. Observation. Calm authority. Creating a safe atmosphere before problems even occur. Important: This position is based in Greece . You relocate for the full season and live where others spend their holidays. EU passport required. Valid lifeguard certification required. REALITY: You enforce safety rules, speak to guests, and ensure a respectful, secure environment. English communication is required. MYTH: "Relocating for a season is stressful." REALITY: Accommodation is organized before you arrive. You live near or on-site at the hotel. Meals are included. No apartment search, no grocery stress. MYTH: "Living abroad is expensive." REALITY: With housing and food covered, you can focus on your job - and many team members save money during the season.
