Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm The Vaccinator administers vaccinations to the patients and residents in the Long-Term Care communities we serve. This position ensures high quality vaccination through education regarding vaccine storage and handling, administration, billing, documentation, and vaccine safety. Attributes Required: Work Ethic/Integrity - must possess intrinsic drive to excel coupled with values in line with company philosophy Relational - ability to build relationships with business unit management and become "trusted advisor" Strategy and Planning - ability to think ahead, plan and manage time efficiently Problem Solving - ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both a strategic and functional level Team Oriented - ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team members Essential Job Functions (include the following): Screens vaccine recipients pre-vaccine for potential concerns as identified by facility guidelines Educates recipient and administers vaccine as indicated Documents vaccine administration using appropriate medical record system. Monitors pre and post vaccination for potential side effects and refers for additional assessment/care as indicated. Collaborates effectively with all disciplines and levels of care regarding patient care. Ensures compliance with various Isolation Precautions and Infection Control Guidelines Supports vaccine administration sites by responding to issues, questions, and ensuring training, as needed, for new products or changes to products. Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed face to face visits, email, phone calls Other essential functions and duties may be assigned Education and/or Certifications High School Diploma or GED Appropriate clinical licensure/certification as determined by state regulations.
