  • Ability to perceive and pre-determine sequence of operations and installation requirements from sketches and oral instructions

Job Summary: The Cleanroom Soldering Specialist works under limited supervision performing advanced assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military standards, Food and Drug Administration standards, and/or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions. This role emphasizes expertise in soldering, particularly micro soldering. The Cleanroom Soldering Specialist communicates with all levels of the Value Stream and performs visual inspections. Essential Functions: Perform advanced soldering tasks, including micro soldering, to assemble components and subassemblies. Prepare components prior to assembly, clean components, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies. Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy; proactively identify safety concerns or issues. Train and mentor new employees and other team members in soldering techniques, processes, and Crane tools. Prioritize daily demand as communicated by team-lead and/or supervisor for the cell(s) they are working in. Discuss and problem-solve quality issues with Manufacturing Engineers, the Quality group, and leadership. Participate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvement. Crosstrain to work on all processes within the value stream. Identify and report issues to leadership. Complete job-related company training courses. Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPI's, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and other initiatives as they arise. ' Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary. Any other task assigned by supervisor or management.
