About the role

The Coverage Analyst serves as the primary oversight professional for a portfolio of internally managed investment strategies, acting as the day-to-day point of contact between the 5P Team and the firm's investment teams. This is a senior investment professional role that requires credibility, judgment, and analytical depth to engage in peer-to-peer investment discussions with senior portfolio managers across the firm. The Coverage Analyst is responsible for continuous monitoring, problem recognition, strategic partnership with investment teams, and support of client-facing professionals, all grounded in a thorough understanding of each assigned strategy's philosophy, process, positioning, people, and performance. The overriding goal of the 5P Team is to help the investment professionals at Columbia Threadneedle manage their strategies successfully, meet our clients' investment objectives, and ultimately grow the strategies and the firm. Every aspect of the Coverage Analyst's work should be oriented toward this goal. Oversight is not an end in itself; it is a means of supporting better investment outcomes, stronger competitive positioning, and sustained commercial success. The Coverage Analyst is also the most visible representative of the 5P Team within the firm.
