Job Details The Director of Clinical Operations provides oversight support to the Department of Orthopedics around Jefferson North and Central Regions. Director serves as leader and mentor to clinical operations leaders and as an internal consultant in the development and evolution of new and existing programs. Director partners closely with administrative and operational leaders within Department to align business operations, financial needs and processes to support the growing scope of clinical practice. Job Description Essential Functions: Maintains cost control and evaluates budget needs for operations. Collaborates to establish department plans consistent with mission, strategic operations, quality and safety improvement plan, and overall network goals. Develops and oversees staff scheduling process to ensure optimal labor productivity and achieves on target performance metrics. Implements and adjusts workflows to streamline operations and corrective actions for cost control problems. Maintains and updates policy and procedure manual in accordance with department needs and organizational standards. Maintains ongoing, proactive relationships with all relevant people. Proactively communicates critical issues and intervenes accordingly, prepares and submits timely reports for operational review. Monitors volume and adjusts staffing patterns to drive labor productivity, access and optimal patient experience. Recommends and submits for capital expenditures to promote safe and efficient care delivery and sound business operations. Recommends and implements new technology as needed to advance care and align with most progressive industry standards. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Healthcare/Business Administration or relevant healthcare field required. Master's Degree MBA/MHA preferred. 5 years Progressive leadership roles with health system experience required. Knowledge of operations and resource management required. Knowledge of physician practice activities required, primarily in the areas of physician billing/reimbursement and practice management. Knowledge of third-party reimbursement/regulations, practice operations, automated systems and strategic planning. Skill in interpersonal and communication. Skill in problem-solving and consensus building. Ability to operate effectively in consulting role.
