About the role

The Global Ops Coe in Manila is a developing team about world class delivery, customer support, driving a disruptive shift in strategy, structure, systems, processes, and technology across the enterprise under GM Sales Services and Marketing (SSM) function. This SSM Global COE - Cadillac Data Scientist would work as an integral member of the Cadillac Retail Planning team to develop and apply advanced data science solutions that improve retail performance. The resource will lead the end-to-end development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Cadillac Sales Forecasting Machine Learning Model to help inform production and incentive decisions. Python, SQL, PBI, Databricks and Tableau skills are critical for this role.

Responsibilities

  • The Data Scientist's role revolves around owning the Cadillac sales forecasting ML model and various PBI/Tableau dashboards for use by the Cadillac HQ and field teams and provide data- driven solutions to drive Cadillac's retail performance.
  • Data Science: run Machine Learning models and maintain dashboards. The ML model helps inform Cadillac's production and incentive decisions and the dashboards provide our HQ and field teams with actionable tools and insights for use by senior leadership or in dealer consultations
  • Data Modeling & Cleansing: Create consistent, validated data models for tracking operational KPIs, and customer metrics and program forecasting.
  • Dashboard Development: Design interactive Power BI dashboards for operational tracking/metrics, and leadership executive summary.
  • Advanced Analytics: Conduct trend, predictive, and segmentation analysis (e.g., which services drive subscription renewals or regional adoption).
  • Collaborate closely with partners across Cadillac Sales Ops, Marketing, Finance, the Cadillac Field team, and GM IT to achieve shared objectives
  • Solve complex problems and present expert advice to leadership in a clear and thoughtful way with a focus on actionable solutions that can be understood by a non-technical audience.
  • Leverage state-of-the art data science and predictive statistical methodologies to enhance retail performance
  • Enabling scenario planning (what-if analysis): e.g., what if rollout accelerates to X number of vans; what is cost/benefit per region; what subscriber conversion assumptions make the business case viable.
  • Operational Insights: Identify efficiency opportunities and insights derived from statistical models
  • This role combines data engineering, analytics, and visualization-ensuring data accuracy, faster insights, and scalable reporting.
  • Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in a Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science preferred (Master's degree preferred)
  • 8-10 Years in Data Analytics / Data Science or related field
  • Professional experience using data science techniques to improve business results
  • Technical proficiency using Python and other analytical programming languages
  • Strong SQL and Big Data skills and proficiency in data warehouse environments such as Databricks
  • Data Visualization - Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI/Tableau - building dashboards, data models, and DAX measures.
  • Data Modeling & Integration- Experience designing data models, relationships, hierarchies, and calculated measures. Knowledge of Dataflows, Azure Synapse, or Dataverse integration (for GM's enterprise systems) a plus.
  • Database & Querying - Strong SQL skills; ability to query large datasets from relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle). Familiarity with Data Bricks a plus.
  • Data Preparation - Proficient in Power Query (M) and data transformation for reporting accuracy. Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics or predictive modeling a plus
  • Reporting Automation - Ability to automate refresh schedules, pipelines, and alerts for Power BI reports. Experience with Power Automate and API integrations a plus
  • Statistical & Analytical Skills - Strong understanding of KPIs, variance analysis, forecasting, and trend detection. Predictive modeling and demand forecasting a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proven proficiency in analytical tools such as PBI, Power Automate and Knime
  • Strong computer software skills, especially Microsoft Office, including familiarity with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
