About the role

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, located in Daytona Beach, FL, is seeking applicants for a Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coach Intern. The S&C coach intern will be responsible for program design & implementation, with oversight, for their assigned teams and other duties as assigned by the Director of Strength & Conditioning. The roles and expectations of this position are similar to that of an Assistant S&C Coach. This position will allow coaches to obtain hands-on experience training a diverse demographic of student athletes in the collegiate setting. The internship is a 10-month position. Total compensation will be a $25,200 stipend (paid bi-weekly over 10 months) to help with living expenses, along with an optional meal plan. Depending on sport assignment, there will be considerable time off during the month of December. Housing and health insurance are NOT included.

Requirements

  • Required Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CSCS or SCCC (by start date)
  • Previous collegiate weight room experience
  • Knowledge and usage of TeamBuildr exercise software.
  • Effective and skilled communicator
  • Ability to think outside the box and be creative
  • Passion and an eagerness to pursue a career in collegiate strength & conditioning
