General Description: The Matter Mobility Analyst coordinates, executes and facilitates digital client data transfers in a key role within the Matter Mobility team. The Matter Mobility Analyst will work closely with Matter Mobility management to support the Information Governance Department in data transfers associated with the onboarding and off-boarding of client matters and related matters. Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: Implement Firm's policies and procedures regarding the transfer of digital client matter records into and out of the Firm. Transfer digital records to and from the Firm's document management system and other related repositories. Ensure inbound digital records and metadata are correctly classified and assigned to the correct client matter workspaces. Ensure outbound digital record transfers are accurately documented and classified into a repository for due diligence tracking. Responsible for utilizing FTP server technology, security and encryption controls, metadata structure, database reporting and critical system dependencies. Assist in the coordination of the Matter Mobility processes, including but not limited to, confirmation of all vital documentation and updating the Firm's tracking system while ensuring data integrity is maintained. Ensures that client requests for transfers or returns are properly and timely processed. Export requested data from the Firm's Document Management System. Work with various data formats and conversions while also troubleshooting data transfer issues and problem resolution. Serve as a resource to answer any questions regarding the transfer process. Special projects and duties as assigned. Required Skills: Exceptional written and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate results of assigned workload. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Required Qualifications & Education: Bachelor's Degree Minimum 2+ years of related working experience. Strong knowledge of PC configuration and technical troubleshooting, including familiarity of file systems & formats. Knowledge of legal software and other applications/software (e.g., iManage, Milan, ServiceNow, Windows Office Suite, Windows Server). Knowledge of best practices for managing and transferring large datasets. Knowledge of data privacy and methods to keep data secure, such as encryption, MFA, etc. Knowledge and hands-on familiarity with Windows File Share Administration as well as Active Directory. Experience with server and/or desktop virtualization technologies. Functional understanding of network engineering and security principles (e.g., protocols, routing, switching, filtering, firewall rules, etc.). Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Experience in Client Technical Support. Attention to detail and quality-focused work along with teamwork, patience, and a desire to help clients and staff. Ability to multi-task in multiple situations. Professional demeanor and strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications & Education: Law firm familiarity preferred. Knowledge of Information Governance principles and practices strongly preferred. In accordance with applicable Pay Transparency Laws, the pay ranges for this position are listed below. These ranges may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, Holland & Knight provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
