Couchbase Database Administrator with MongoDB

About the role

The Couchbase Database Administrator (DBA) team provides end to end operational support for Couchbase clusters supporting Capital Market applications across on prem and public cloud environments. The team ensures high availability, performance, data integrity, and disaster recovery readiness for business critical Capital Market applications.

Responsibilities

• Key responsibilities include 24x7 support for Production & Non Production Couchbase Database Environment.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Couchbase clusters across environments, Monitor Cluster health, proactively identify and mitigate issues.
• Configure and manage backup and restore processes using Couchbase Backup Service or supported tools. Supports DR exercises, security remediation, and support for major client migrations and releases.
• You will be working closely with application, infrastructure, and SRE teams to maintain SLA compliance and ensure uninterrupted services for global Capital Market clients.
• What you bring :
• 3 to 6 Years of experience in Couchbase database administration.
• You should have hands on experience managing Couchbase clusters in production environments, with a strong focus on availability, performance, and data consistency.
• You are skilled in Couchbase cluster administration, bucket and index management, backup and recovery, upgrades, and troubleshooting performance issues.
• You will be owning day to day operations, handling incidents, and working closely with application and infrastructure teams to ensure stable and scalable deployments.
• Focus on proactive monitoring, and automation to prevent issues before they impact business systems. Good understanding of Unix OS & Shell Scripting.
• Added Bonus if you have :
• Knowledge on MongoDB database. Provide operational support for MongoDB environments (replica sets, sharding ,MongoDB Backup & restore concepts)
