The Job: As a Director Finance, GSC Outdoor MFG Americas, you'll be part of our Seasonal And Specialty Distribution team working as a hybrid employee. You'll get to: Serves as the primary finance and accounting leader over manufacturing operations in the United States Region, which consists of 5 factories and roughly $1.5 billion USD of annual production value. Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of financial statements and serves as the primary business partner of the Manufacturing Director for this Manufacturing POD, as well as the liaison with the Commercial Finance & Brand Led Teams, to meet and exceed financial commitments. Financial Leadership Act as a trusted finance partner to Manufacturing Operations leadership, helping shape decisions and drive business performance. Lead efforts to improve cost and cash performance across the region in alignment with global manufacturing standards. Partner closely with supply chain and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and deliver stronger financial results. Translate plant performance data into actionable insights, clearly highlighting risks, opportunities, and business impact. Develop scenario models and business cases that support strategic and operational decision-making. Play a key role in performance reviews with operations leadership to drive accountability and results. Help prioritize capital investments across the region to support growth, productivity, and operational goals. Financial Operations & Reporting Lead core financial planning processes, including actuals, forecasts, and budgets, across U.S. manufacturing sites. Ensure a strong and disciplined month-end and quarter-end close process that delivers timely and accurate results. Maintain high-quality financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP, local statutory requirements, and company policies. Strengthen balance sheet ownership and financial discipline across site Controller teams. Internal Controls & Compliance Drive a strong controls environment across manufacturing sites through site reviews and SOX compliance. Oversee fixed asset governance, including CIP reviews, capital spend monitoring, and asset audits. Proactively identify financial and accounting risks and implement practical solutions to address them. Partner with internal and external auditors to deliver efficient audits, minimize findings, and close actions on time. Champion a culture of integrity, accountability, and doing the right thing. Transformation & Strategy Anticipate challenges, evaluate options, and help the business navigate decisions that balance financial performance, controls, and operational KPIs. Apply Lean Office principles to improve finance processes while supporting lean manufacturing across the value chain. Bring forward best practices from across the global network and external benchmarks to improve performance. Support shared services and center-of-excellence initiatives that enhance efficiency and functional excellence. Culture & People Leadership Lead and influence direct reports, extended team members, and cross-functional peers to achieve shared goals. Coach and develop talent through ongoing feedback, support, and growth opportunities. Strengthen organizational effectiveness and succession planning in line with business priorities. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification desirable. 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing environments and global operations. SAP, or equivalent ERP knowledge, and HFM experience. Expertise in internal controls, compliance, financial reporting, FP&A, and advanced cost accounting.
