Responsibilities

  • Oversees policies, including workplace violence prevention policies, standards, guidelines and procedures engaging business unit management to ensure concerns are adequately addressed.

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, security, or related discipline is required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
  • Ten (10) or more years of law enforcement, military, or security-related field is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Preferred Requirements:
  • Detailed knowledge and experience implementing NIMS Incident Command System (able to train/fill/advise multiple positions) preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Marathon Galveston Bay Refinery (GBR) has an opening for a Security Manager to lead the Security Department. The individual will be responsible for supervising union, salaried and contract security personnel, overseeing site-wide security programs and plans, regulatory compliance, investigative activities, and workplace violence prevention policies. The role will support and ensure the protection of refinery operations through the development, implementation, and monitoring of security strategies, risk assessments, and response plans, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and industry regulations.
