Responsibilities

  • Manage global event retail business and work closely with League partners to establish retail strategy for League tentpole events (e.g., Super Bowl, Draft, international games, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify growth opportunities leveraging insights and analytics to make data driven decisions
  • Support the global ecommerce business and work closely with licensees to develop and achieve financial plans and KPIs while driving growth strategies for the partnership
  • Oversee portfolio of partners across the NFL's global softline apparel product category; support all day-to-day communication, contract compliance and account management
  • Partner with licensees to develop and grow partnership with the goal of driving revenue increasing engagement across key fan segments (e.g., avid, casual, youth) and working across the organization to activate the league wide partnership deliverables
  • Be a partner to Finance team to guarantee royalty reporting and financial payments are received in a timely manner
  • Facilitate QC approvals and licensee line reviews, ensuring compliance with Licensees' contracts and maintenance of quality standards
  • Work cross-functionally with other NFL departments, Clubs, and Licensees on joint strategic initiatives
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in ecommerce, licensing, business development, or brand management within sports/entertainment/consumer products
  • Strong understanding of trademark licensing, deal structures, and contract terms
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with ability to influence all stakeholder levels
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once

Requirements

  • Experience with collegiate athletics or professional sports leagues
  • Knowledge of retail and distribution channels
  • Digital commerce and D2C business model understanding
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
  • International licensing experience
  • Experience with CRM systems and licensing databases
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills

The Manager, Global Event Retail & Licensing will drive NFL's growth strategy by identifying, developing, and securing new opportunities to drive revenue growth across event retail and licensing. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze insights, unlock new opportunities, and build relationships with existing and potential partners. As part of these responsibilities, the Manager will drive the development and execution of retail strategy to meet the strategic, commercial, and fan engagement objectives. The Manager is responsible for delivering sales and revenue updates including communicating consumer product forecasts, retail strategy plans, and executing upon global events in conjunction with cross-functional NFL teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep retail and licensing industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex deals from prospecting through contract execution.
