About the role

As Operations Manager, you will play a key role within the plant leadership team, driving operational performance and continuous improvement across the operation. You will lead teams in Process and Maintenance, ensure strong results across safety, quality, delivery and cost, and contribute to the long‑term development of people and capabilities. Responsibilities

  • Operational Results (SQCDM): Lead and deliver safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale targets for the operational area.
  • Safety Leadership: Identify, eliminate and prevent unsafe conditions, fostering a strong safety culture across teams.
  • Team Management: Lead, coach and develop Process and Maintenance teams to achieve high performance and engagement.
  • Cost & Budget Control: Manage operational budgets, resources, overtime and cost per-ton for maintenance and labor.
  • Efficiency & Performance: Define and implement strategies to improve equipment efficiency, reduce waste and optimize key operational and financial KPIs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive TPM implementation (AM-PM), root cause analysis (RCA) and structured daily management systems.
  • Projects & Innovation: Participate in savings, infrastructure and new product development projects in collaboration with local and global teams.

Requirements

  • University degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments, preferably in tissue paper production or continuous processes.
  • Strong knowledge of TPM methodologies, manufacturing cost management, maintenance systems and operational processes.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with strong communication, collaboration, influence, conflict resolution and coaching skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Advanced English proficiency and willingness to travel and relocate when required.
