About the role
Job Description 1. Ensure buses are despatched out from the district according to the scheduled departure time and monitor bus captains who are not reporting 10 minutes before bus despatched time and report if necessary. 2. Calling up off day captains for work when necessary in case of last minute absenteeism and shortage of captains. 11. Monitor, document and respond to service incidents on the road 12. Responsible for managing the operations and performance of a set of services 13. Take immediate actions to alleviate service problems on the road 14. Assist in the analysis of event and performance data 15. Communicate with Bus Captains on the road using voice and text messages. 16. Conduct report on running time. 17. Liaise with Route Management and District on crew absenteeism or bus breakdown. 18. Report to District HQ on: short fall of buses; double-deckers operating on single deck bus; service disruption; dirty buses; 1st trip not operated; and any other unusual happenings. 19. Report on bus crew for late and early arrival. 20. Report on bus crew for offences such as: not wearing proper uniform; failing to report to Traffic Inspectors punctually; adjust departure time of buses during disruption or under operations of buses; etc. 21. Relief other Service Controllers within the same District when required. 22. Deploy spare captains for learning service, traffic/crowd control and revenue checks. 23. Perform any other duties that are assigned. The above activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment whenever is needed.
