About the role

Function: Administrative and Secretarial (SC) About the Role: Salary on appointment will be £25,249 per annum (pro rata), with an annual increment up to £26,093 per annum (pro rata). We are recruiting a School Administrator role in our Faculty Professional Services (FPS) team in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Our School Administrators provide vital operational administrative support in our School FPS team for Norwich Medical School. Duties will include providing administrator support for academic colleagues, other professional services staff and University services to promote the activities of the School. This will include focus on supporting our admissions work, in the recruitment of students and support the delivery of a high-quality student experience. You will also maintain and develop School-specific social media and web channels and other marketing materials, coordinate events involving applicants, external guests, students and alumni, and provide operational administration support for the full range of activities undertaken by the FPS team embedded in the School. The role involves working with academic staff who hold leadership roles within the School and some working with a number of professional services teams across the University. You will be well organised and have good interpersonal and communication skills, be an effective team player and enjoy working as part of a team. Recent experience of working in a busy office environment, self motivation and the ability to use your own initiative - resolving simple problems are key and enjoying a range of activities within your role. This part-time post (29 hours/0.8 FTE) is available on an indefinite basis from 1 August 2026.
