Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in chemistry/chemical engineer or above;
  • Good command of written and spoken English;
  • The individual will need to be hands-on
  • Minimum 2-year experience in an automotive paint shop or paint application or automotive production engineering or working as Chemist, preferably in an automotive related environment.

As a Certified Optima Solutions Professional you will report to Optima Solutions Manager. Main Responsibilities To conduct and coordinate all sales and service activities on assigned customer. To monitor line parameters and work on process optimization to achieve best possible performance and results as per customer's requirements To engage in hands-on manual application with all coatings, primer, basecoat and clear coat which also includes paint mix circulation system operation and maintenance. To work through the repair paint systems and train customers through the process. To identify process and paint related defects for preparing a corrective action plan to resolve and improve quality as well as performance. To review and discuss all issues with customer relative to product, process, and quality. To help troubleshoot any paint and process problems; monitor any special events at the customers such as tank drops, equipment revisions, quality audits. To obtain customer production forecast regularly, assist to order proper materials, and monitor inventory. To track usage, consumption, and performance of PPG paint materials To issue weekly/monthly service and sales reports To issue reports that document PPG attitudes, positions, and performance. To initiate and submit CAIR report on customer complaint for PPG to provide countermeasure and resolution To monitor, follow up, and collect payment due from customer To support in planning, coordinating, and executing development projects on products already commercialized or new products with commercial potential, to meet customer and PPG requirements using established Secure Launch protocols. To work closely with the Site Manager and team members for any potential business opportunity. To practice strong teamwork and customer at all levels. To practice and implement PPG Global Automotive Operating Disciplines. To comply with PPG ESH, Ethics, and other PPG policies.
