Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist (Assistant General Manager, MSS-4, Level 12)

About the role

Serves as Assistant General Manager within the Air Traffic Organization (ATO); Air Traffic Services; Central Service Areas, and District Offices, responsible for planning and directing multiple activities and programs in a complex matrix organization in a specific Air Traffic District assigned to the highest facility-level within that District. The AGM is responsible for managing and coordinating all air traffic operations and/or support activities and services within the assigned District. Candidates must show specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Must have held an FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks); OR 2. Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an ATS facility; OR 3. Must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility AND IN ADDITION to meeting the qualification requirements listed above, applicants must have held a MSS-3 or 2152 FG-14 position or above for at least 1 year (52 weeks). QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT Eligible candidates will also be evaluated based on FAA Managerial Workforce Planning Selection Factors, Dimensions 1 through 4.
