PLM Admin - Engineer

Responsibilities

• Main responsibilities:
• 5-8 years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) / PDM within an engineering environment, with strong understanding of the engineering design lifecycle, change management, and configuration management processes
• Hands-on experience with Teamcenter PLM, ERP systems (M3 / Oracle preferred), and CAD tools (CATIA - Part, Assembly, Drafting; exposure to Creo is an added advantage)
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, including advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting) and working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
• Responsible for creation, modification, archival, and lifecycle management of product data, including engineering documents such as 3D models, drawings, and associated files
• Experience in Teamcenter administration, including user access management, workflow configuration, issue resolution, and system monitoring
• Strong experience in BOM management (EBOM/MBOM), product structure handling, and product configuration control
• Exposure to engineering change management (ECR/ECO), version control, and release processes, ensuring compliance with standards and audit requirements
• Good understanding of data migration activities, including data extraction, cleansing, validation, and correction
• Ability to drive continuous improvements in PLM processes aligned with business and engineering requirements and strong skills in data governance, standardization, and system compliance
• Effective cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for data validation, system optimization, and troubleshooting
• Experience in supporting audit processes and documentation

Key missions of the position: The PLM Admin role supports the entire Hosur engineering team in the following activities. 1. Migration Activities: Support for migration across multiple product lines, including data correction activities and MBOM migration to Teamcenter and Oracle (Go-live). 2. PLM Sustainability & System Support: Teamcenter administration, user support, continuous improvements considering the engineering design cycle, workflow customization, and change management 3. Project & Engineering Support: BOM releases, CAD uploads, DRC tracker management, ECR implementation, audit support, and related activities.
